SAHRR Prmpt #3
Whew! It's Sunday night and I'm finally able to post my SAHRR project after the addition of this third prompt. Quilting Gail has provided this week's prompt, stars. Thank you Gail. I looked at many suggestions and ideas provided from the hosts, and thought I'd like to try the ribbon star, but it wasn't to be. I wanted my row to be 4.5" unfinished so the piece won't grow so large that I won't be able to manage it. These days with the joint issues progressing, it just doesn't fit my ability to handle large projects. Still using my bits from Thimbleberries fabrics, I decided on a sawtooth star. The math wasn't too difficult, and this gave me the chance to try making flying geese using the four at a time technique. I liked the resulting geese, and the process was not difficult at all. I made 20 geese, arranging them around the four borders.
Tomorrow morning we will see our fourth challenge. I'm looking forward to it, and hopefully I will be able to find just the right application to complement hat has already been done. Even now hen I look at my unfinished piece, I feel happy with the creative process that has brought me this far. We'll be back next week. Stay safe and happy.
Hugs
Lynn
Your stars look fabulous. This is really quite a beautiful quilt you are making and I know you will find a way to make this week's challenge work.
