SAHRR Prompt #2

This week Kathleen from  https://kathleenmcmusing.com/   is providing us with the second prompt in our adventure. She is asking us to "Make It A Double”. We are kindly offered a number of options, and even some patterns. That's very generous . Thank you Kathleen. I was using my little block tool to check out possibilites that caught my interest. I've had this tool for a number of years, and it's chock full of hellpful hints in addition to a number of blocks and the cutting directions for numerous sizes.

My blocks to this point are 6" finished. I love to make smaller blocks, and this pattern in the Block tool gives me cutting directions from a 4' to a 12". It meets the requirements of today's prompt.

As you can see, there are lots of doubles in this little block..The basic elements are triangles sewn into HSTs and then becoming  geese pairs. Then I thought about some small mis cuts from another project i'm working on, and thought, "Why not give it a shot?" So here we have another doubles.

I'm not sure yet if this block will figure in my finished project, but I don't like waste, so there will be a home at some point.
Today I also finished a little baby quilt from some leftovers. I made a full size bed quilt from these fabrics at an earlier time.I'm practicing finishing binding by machine. This was my second, and it's better than the first. This time I used the open toed applique foot for the job. Here is a pic of it too. There was not pattern, I just used what was left in the fabric bits.
