And so it Begins The SAHRR 2026

It's a year since we stepped into the unknown with many quilting friends and the six co-leaders for this adventure. Last year was my first adventure with the group, and it was so much fun, and inspiring, that I eagerly waited for this year to bring a new set of challenges.

  • January 14   Each of the co-leaders will be sharing their centre blocks (you will have to visit each of their blogs to see them). I will host the first linky party where you can show your centre block. Quilting Gail

This year I've decided to make just one block for each prompt in addition to my initial block, and see what happens. I haven't made any "for sure" decisions  about what my finish will look like. It's part of the fun. I'm using leftovers from my Thimbleberries stash, as well as any other bits from my stash that I might need. I've been seeing some beautiful new collections being released, but my stash is large, and I'm committed to getting some of it used in a fun way.
Here is my initial block. It is a block adapted from a block found on a video from Sewing Parts Online.

His block finishes at 12 " but I wanted a 6" block so there was some math to do. A good quilting friend helped me out with that, and here is my sweet little block

It's a disappearing 9Patch with a twist.

I'll be back tomorrow with my response to the first prompt.
Lynn
