A Day of Firsts

I watched my fledgling video on you tube a few minutes ago. Now if I could just figure out how ro link it to my blog page. The train is so cute. This is the link www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsr2rUUHI4E  

This is certainly a journey of discovery. I feel quite excited that I am part of this world. Tonight my friend, and very experienced blogger helped me to set up my POP3 mail. I am so pleased to be making some progress.

Tonight we are going to try reposting my short video. I think I've changed my profile pic, but haven't seen it come up yet.

This didn't work, so now it is being uploaded to youtube. This will end my post for now

First pictures

It was another very cold day today. When I went out to take Omer's delicious fricot to my mum for supper, the car groaned and whined all the way to town.

The blocks for the little cot quilt are all finished now. This project I hope to finish before the end of 2013.Our dear little stove chugged along all day and it helps keep our main floor so comfortable on these cold days
Now I can't find the stove picture just now, vut there is a cute pic of the Dickson Rd Special. It goes by our house every morning around breakfast hour. I love its whistle.



Two firsts this week. Isn't that wonderful. I had a video, but I'm not sure I can load it. Perhaps I'll try. Well it didn't work. Maybe I need another lesson

A great way to start your day

Well folks, this morning I made chocolate fudge before going to work. Delicious is the adjective to describe the outcome. Did you ever make Carnation 5 min fudge. Well try it if you like smooth creamy choc fudge. Just take 2/3 cup of evaporated milk, 2 2/3 cup white sugar, In a sauce pan, stir together, and bring to a rolling boil, stirring constantly. Set the timer for 5 minutes, and remove from heat at the end of this time. Add 1 1/2 cups choc chips,(use the best ones you have), 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows, 1/2 cup chopped nuts, (we like almonds), and 1tsp of pure vanilla flavouring. Stir until the marshmallows and choc bits are melted. Scrape into a buttered pieplate or some other buttered container, and let stand for at least 20 mins so you don't burn your mouth. Then share with others.
